The Music Lovers Club Variety Show
Life at Ocean Hills Country Club is full of energy, creativity, and connection—and this past weekend’s event was a perfect reflection of that spirit. The Music Lovers Club hosted their Second Annual Musical Variety Show, and it was so much fun!
This year’s theme, Broadway Hits, brought the magic of the stage right into Abravanel Hall. The show opened with a lively rendition of Luck Be a Lady from Guys and Dolls and continued with beloved classics from Fiddler on the Roof, South Pacific, Grease, Mamma Mia, and more. Residents clapped, cheered, and even sang along as their friends and neighbors showcased their talent under the lights.

The cast, made up entirely of OHCC residents, doubled in size from last year while maintaining the same number of acts. That enthusiasm alone speaks volumes about how much this event means to the community. But perhaps even more impressive was the teamwork behind the scenes. From six months of planning and rehearsals to the collaborative efforts of the AV Committee, Woodchucks (set construction), Theater Arts Club, and Sewing Club, this show was truly a group effort.
And the support didn’t stop with the performers. For the opening show, nearly 300 residents bought tickets and filled the seats, creating an atmosphere buzzing with pride and encouragement. As the club’s largest fundraiser of the year, the Variety Show ensures that even more music can be brought to Ocean Hills Country Club in the coming year.
The Music Lovers Club’s mission is simple but powerful: to bring more music into the lives of OHCC residents and give members the opportunity to share their gifts. Judging by the turnout, applause, and smiles, this year’s show was a resounding success—and a reminder of how vibrant and creative life can be in our 55+ community.
