You’re probably already aware of the wide variety of local breweries around Ocean Hills Country Club. After all, San Diego is the “Craft Brewery Capital of the World”!
There are so many to explore, it may take us a while to get to them all. But, let us tell you about one of our favorites and why we love it. In fact, we love it so much, it’s probably going to slow down our efforts to explore because it’s fast becoming our go-to.
First thing to know is that this brewery is super close to Ocean Hills Country Club. It’s only 3 miles from our house – which means it’s perfect for riding our tandem Pedego e-bike. They have plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating so, whether it’s sunny or cool, you can still kick back and relax.
As IPA fans, we enjoy sampling the latest. And, the music selection always hits home. It’s like they know us!
That’s actually part of what we love about this brewery. The story behind it crosses paths with our life paths in several ways. They started in Costa Rica (where TK & I got married 30+ years ago). The master brewer is from the Santa Cruz mountains (where Karen grew up) and went to UCSC (where TK went to college).
Pure Project is committed not only to good beer, but making beer for good. They have a focus on sustainability and local/seasonal ingredients. And, they’re having fun doing it.
Pure Project has several tap rooms in the San Diego area, but don’t miss out on this one right here in our backyard. You’ll enjoy it. Maybe we will bump into you!
