There are so many neighbor-helping-neighbor programs in Ocean Hills Country Club. It’s pretty amazing when you dig in and discover all of the little ways neighbors share resources and provide support.

Helping Hands is a program that essentially recycles medical equipment. An injury or surgery may require temporary use of medical equipment like walkers, wheelchairs, canes, crutches, shower stools, etc. Helping Hands is coordinated by the OHCC SERT (Safety Emergency Response Team). They loan out gently used medical equipment to aid in your time of need. They also accept donations of this type of equipment to help others.

If you find yourself in need of something or want to donate equipment you no longer need, you can reach out to one of the volunteers. You will find them on the Ocean Hills Country Club HOA website and in OHCC Living Magazine.

This is just one of the amazing services provided by OHCC SERT Club.

They also provide Safety Coordinators to help you with Emergency Preparedness. These volunteers help you take steps to prepare for an emergency while also creating a buddy system with your neighbors in case of power outage or other emergency situation.

SERT also offers a Family Caregiver Group to help you plug into resources and support when you find yourself caring for a loved one.

Joining the OHCC SERT club is a great way to tap into these resources or to volunteer and have a meaningful impact here in the neighborhood.
