One of the most anticipated traditions at Ocean Hills Country Club is the annual Concert on the Green—a community-wide gathering filled with live music, dancing, picnics, and plenty of neighborly fun.
It’s also one of those events that gives you a wonderful glimpse into what life inside OHCC really feels like.
Music, Picnics and Dancing on the Golf Course
For the occasion, the golf course closes and the area surrounding the first tee is transformed into an outdoor concert venue, complete with a stage and dance floor.
Residents arrive with beach chairs, picnic baskets, coolers, and everything they need to settle in for the evening. Some gather beneath the trees, while others create elaborate picnic setups and save enough room for an entire group of friends.
Once the band begins playing, it doesn’t take long for the dance floor to fill.
The event is hosted by the OHCC Recreation Department and traditionally welcomes residents along with their family members and friends. Over the years, our own family has enjoyed meeting here for the concert—first when our daughters were young and now as residents ourselves.
That history makes the evening especially meaningful to us.
More Than Another Community Event
Ocean Hills Country Club is well known for its amenities, including golf, pickleball, tennis, swimming, fitness, and more than 40 clubs. But events like Concert on the Green reveal something that can’t be fully captured on an amenities list.
They show how the community comes together.
Neighbors coordinate picnic spots, share food, invite friends onto their patios, and make room for newcomers. Family members and friends get to experience the community, too. What begins as a concert becomes another opportunity to connect, laugh, dance, and create memories together.
